This is all about Nars mascara. I previously had tried Miss Claire mascara but thought of trying something better, so, just gave a try to this Nars mascara. As it says it does, it really lengthens my lashes unbelievably. I was shocked to use this kind of mascara. That’s a good one, because I have very small lashes, so I was happy to use this product.

DIY: Manicure at home

This is very easy and simple. I use VLCC pedicure and manicure kit for doing manicure at home. There are some steps to do manicure. So, let’s go through them.

Steps/procedure

1.       Cleanse your hands by adding cleanser to lukewarm water. Soak your hands in water for 15-20 minutes. After 15-20 minutes, just remove your hands from water and towel them dry.

2.       Now file your nails, buff them and shine them with shiner.

3.       Take scrub and massage it on your hands for 5 minutes and then remove it with sponge.

4.       Take some cream and massage it for 10 minutes and then cleanse your hands with sponge.

5.       Apply pack on your hands, let it dry for about 15 minutes and then remove it with sponge. If you want you can wash your hands also. Voila we are dome with our manicure at home.

The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Velvet Stick

The Body Shop is well known brand. This is my first purchase from The Body Shop. My sister had purchased body wash and her experience was amazing. So, I saw this Lip and Cheek Velvet Stick which I thought was so cute and then I just purchased it.

Packaging

It is white in color with floral print design on which the name The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Velvet Stick is printed in silver and black. The ending part is in the shade of Velvet Stick inside. This ending part can be twisted, so no need to sharpen the stick. The cap is white color. After you open the cap, you get the actual product which is really soft and blendable.

Color and texture

I have the shade Poppy Coral with me. It is really a pretty shade. It is not so pigmented but we can build it up on our cheeks if we want a dark shade on our cheeks. It is really very soft and smooth in texture as it is cream blush, we can feel the softness when we are applying it on our cheeks or lips.

Application

You can apply it directly from the stick on cheeks and blend it with your hands, makeup brush or beauty blender (Whichever way you prefer to blend). You can directly apply it on your lips or take the product from a lip brush and apply it on your lips (Again whichever way you are comfortable)

Yes, I would recommend the product to others considering the cute packaging and considering the pigmentation, it is a kind of product which can be used on daily basis as it is not too dark for our cheeks or lips. Again not a compulsion to buy, but you guys can try it if you want to. It is not a kind of product without which we can’t live without. I wouldn’t repurchase it as I have tried once, I had purchased it as I loved the packaging and to try for once.

DIY face mask: Reduces tan, dark spots, acne and pimples

Hello pretty girls hope you are fine. This is a DIY which I have been using since my college days. So, just thought of sharing my experience about this DIY. This DIY helps in reducing tan, dark spots, acne and pimples with less cost. Best part is that you don’t have to buy any expensive products and they are products which can easily be found in your kitchen.

Ingrediants:

Wild Turmeric/Ambe Hald/ Kasturi Manjal: Just a pinch

Gram flour or Chickpea flour or in Hindi it is known as besan: 1 spoon 

Fresh lemon Juice: 4-5 drops

Honey: 2-3 drops

Fresh and unflavored curd or yoghurt: 1 spoon

Water: 4-5 drops just for consistency

Method:

Add Gram flour or besan with turmeric in a bowl or any container. Then add fresh lemon juice, honey and curd or yoghurt into it. Mix everything and if required then add water for making the paste like consistency. Apply it to your face with your hands or any facial brush.

Important thing: Don’t add too much turmeric otherwise it will stain your face. If by mistake you have done that then don’t worry, after washing your face remove those stains with makeup removing wipes or wet wipes. 

Use it once or twice a week for 2- 3 months. Do try it my angels and remember it is a long run process it won’t reduce anything once. You have to use this for 2-3 months continuously and then you will get results. But it will help your skin become smooth and soft from first use itself. Miss Claire Mascara

I have two mascaras in Miss Claire brand, i.e. transparent and black. Transparent mascara gives length to our eyelashes but doesn’t give much volume. But the best part of this mascara is that it feels as if u have naturally long lashes. Black mascara gives length as well as volume to our lashes. It does both things in little. Here, I mean it gives us medium length and volume. It doesn’t give so much length and not so much volume. It is perfect for every occasion or party or festive time. It isn’t so dramatic so anyone can use it. Both are my favorites as transparent one can be worn on daily basis and black one can be worn on occasions or festive times. Transparent one is so affordable and less cost. Black one is also not so much expensive, anyone can afford them.

MeNow Eyebrow Pencil

This is my latest discovery, MeNow Eyebrow Pencil. It costs just Rs. 10 (May be ranges from Rs. 10 to Rs. 50). Still, really affordable and inexpensive. There was only choice of black shade for me, so I purchased black shade as no other shades were available at the time I went to the store. So, let’s discuss about packaging, pigmentation, available shades, pros and cons about this Eyebrow Pencil.

Packaging

It is purple pencil, where M.n is printed in white, below that menow is printed in white, below that Perfect Eyebrow Pencil and at last Waterproof and LongLasting has been printed in white. It has black color at the ending of the pencil depicting black shade of eyebrow pencil and the shade number written on that ending part. There are shade numbers and no shade names which are mentioned like 001, 002, 003, etc. The cap of the pencil is also purple in color with a little comb which helps to shape our eyebrows.

Pigmentation

It is highly pigmented pencil. One swipe is enough.

Shades

There are various shades available like brown, black, etc. But there are shade numbers mentioned on the pencil as said above like 001, 002, 003, etc. As much as I know there are 4-5 shades available.

Rs. 10 for 1.3 grams

Pros

1.       It is affordable and inexpensive

2.       It has a comb which is really helpful in shaping our eyebrows

Yes, if you can grab them somewhere please do try them as they are for just Rs. 10 or may be ranging from Rs. 10 to Rs. 50 depending on different locations. They are worth using. I will repurchase it again for sure because they are amazing and really pigmented.

Concealing and Baking

Introduction to concealing and baking:

Today I am going to tell about concealing and baking. Concealing is mainly used to cover our dark circles, dark spots and pigmentation. Baking is used for reducing the greasiness or oiliness of our makeup.

Method/Procedure of concealing and baking:

Concealer is used under our eyes, on our eyelids, wherever we have dark spots and pigmented areas. Baking is mainly applying loose powder on our face on concealed areas, so, that concealed areas are secured and our makeup doesn’t move. So, basically in baking we need to apply loose powder and wait for 2 minutes, so, that all our oil is absorbed and then remove the excess powder with makeup brush.

Products used for concealing and baking:

I use Mac select cover up concealer for concealing my dark circles, dark spots and pigmented areas. For baking, I use lakme rose powder, as it gives instant glow to my skin, which I love the most. Both these products are amazing. Mac concealer is obviously a high end brand, but the products are worth, so I use this product. And, ever since I have started using it, I have never tried any other product. Lakme rose powder is a very affordable product. So, you don’t need to think twice while buying it.

Best moisturizer for oily and acne prone face

So, I really wanted to share this thing with you guys. There is a gel known as Sebamed face gel which is best for oily and acne prone skin because even if we have oily and acne prone face our face needs some moisturizer.

Packaging

It comes in a white box Sebamed face gel is written on the box. If we open the box there is a tube in white and name is written in the same way as it is written on box.

Color and consistency

It is in gel form, so, it doesn’t have any color. It has thick consistency. It’s very light weight moisturizer.

Usage

I apply it all over my face in night and go to sleep. When I wake up I wash my face with water. It has done a very good job for my face since I have started using it. It has made my face soft, smooth and plumy. I just love the way it has worked for me.

New FabIndia Lip butter- Dew Kiwi

If you read my blogs regularly then I had a blog post about FabIndia Lip Butter plum passion which I had used for an entire year approx and I was at the end of finishing it. As I mentioned that I will be repurchasing it again, so here it is again FabIndia Lip Butter but in new variant as I wanted to try out something different, so I purchased Dew Kiwi variant. Good news is that the packaging has changed which is more attractive and vibrant.

Packaging

It comes in cardboard and plastic sheet of packaging. So, we have to remove our Lip butter tub or jar from the outer package. All information is provided on this outer packaging like manufacturing date, expiry date, price and ingredients. After we remove the outer package we get a tub or jar of Lip Butter. The cap is in golden color on which the name FabIndia is mentioned in golden color and Lip Butter Dew Kiwi is mentioned in black color. It has a separator in white inside after which we get our product, so we have to remove the separator and take the product. The Lip Butter comes in transparent jar which is really very sturdy.

Color, consistency and texture

It is green in color, but it doesn’t leave green cast on lips which is really good and consistency of this Lip Butter is thick. Texture of this Lip Butter is really soft and moisturizing.

6.       It is travel friendly as it is really a very tiny jar, smaller than the earlier one.

7.       As it is an FabIndia Product it is against animal testing

Cons

1.       Main problem is that we have to put our hands in the jar and apply it on our lips (Similar to earlier packaging but still covering this point)

2.       The earlier tub or jar was 10 grams which lasted me for 1 year approx but now FabIndia has reduced the quantity to 5 grams (It will last me for less than 6 months I guess) which is really bad and sad, didn’t expect this much reduction of product, I mean it is half the quantity from earlier one

      Would I recommend this product to others and will I repurchase it again?

       

      Yes, I definitely recommend it to others as it is a very good product and budget friendly. Yes, I will repurchase it again or may be try another variant (I love trying different variants). Only one variant is left from FabIndia that is Vanilla one which I might try next time.

Best Affordable Blush

I wanted to share my experience about this blush with all of you guys. It is most affordable blush I have ever purchased and used. I have 2 shades. One is purple shimmery shade and other is rose matte shade. I just love both the shades. Now I will reveal the name of these blushes, they are ADS blushes.  They are pigmented as well, so I love them the most.

Packaging

It comes in cute little transparent glass box. When you open it there is a cute little brush inside (No use as it is really a very tiny brush). There is shade number and no shade name. The brand name and shade number is mentioned at the front side bottom of the box and at the back of the box too.

It is really easy to apply and blend. Take any makeup brush, apply and blend it.

2.       There are no ingredients mentioned on the product (Be careful and do a patch test before applying it on your cheeks if you have sensitive skin)

3.       There is no manufacturing and expiry date

My say about this product is that it is really an affordable blush and what matters for me is outcome, so I love it.

Best sunscreen for oily and acne prone face

Here it is best sunscreen which I am going to reveal today for oily and acne prone face. So, if you have oliy and acne prone face and no sunscreen suits you then you must surely try this sunscreen that is La Shield IR Sunscreen Gel SPF 30. This was given to me by my dermatologist. I was really skeptical for trying it because whichever sunscreen I apply to my face it leads my entire face sweaty. It is really humid in Mumbai as you must be knowing so I sweat a lot because of this reason. But my dermatologist told me to try atleast once. I thought that I should try it atleast once and after trying it, now I use it regularly.

Packaging

It comes in a white box on which the name is written in bold and below it everything about SPF, PA, UVA and UVB is mentioned in small letters. After we open it there is a tube inside that box from which we can use the product. On the tube same thing is mentioned about the sunscreen.

Colour and consistency

It is white in colour and thick in consistency. Little goes a long ways, don’t need much of product.

Usage

Apply this sunscreen after you moisturize your face. Apply it before 15-20 minutes you are stepping out of your house. Reapply it whenever you need, most probably after every 5-6 hours.

Price

My Dermatologist gave me this sunscreen, so, I don't know the price of this sunscreen, but surely it is expensive but worth.

Would I recommend this product to others and will I repurchase it again?

Yes, I would surely recommend this product to others. I will surely repurchase it again even though it is on an expensive side, out of my budget but as it is really worth using. I will buy it again. So, if you also have a problem with oily and acne prone face then try it.

Pro arte Brushes - Dupes of MAC Brushes

I have been using the 217 blending brush since 6 months now and that lead me to buy fan brush from same brand. I am in love with both these brushes from the day I have started using them. They are very soft and smooth on our skin. I have also heard that Pro arte 217 (Blending brush) brush and Mac 217 brush are similar.

It comes in thick transparent plastic cover and all the information about the brushes is given at the back of it.

Brushes

Both these brushes are really soft and smooth. The brushes have black handle with Pro arte printed in white on the brush with the number 217 or 41 on the brush. I mean that the brush includes name of the brand and the number of the brush (You can look at the 1st image). Then there is also a protective cover or cap which helps it to prevent from dirt and dust which is why I love them the most. Also 41(Fan brush) has a transparent plastic in the shape of fan to protect the brush. The bristles of 217 (Blending brush) is white in colour and the bristles of 41 (Fan brush) is black in colour. It is very easy to use or apply eyeshadow and highlighter now for me. I just swear by these brushes.

Best acne treatment ever

I have oily and acne prone face, if you read my blogs regularly then you must have come to know by now. Usually I have small acne all over my face. I just wanted to help you guys about treating acne. So, I went to my dermatologist and he gave me this gel or cream known as Persol AC 2.5 gel. You can first ask your dermatologist and then buy it. It has done wonders for my face. Ever since I have started using it I haven’t looked back. Ofcourse it’s no use for pimples that big one on our face. But small acne is my main concern, so it helped me a lot. Just love this cream for keeping my face away from acne.

It comes in a white box with blue highlights and name is written in blue letters. At the back of packaging all the information about product is given. After we open the box, there is a tube in which cream is there.

Color and consistency

It is white in color and thick in consistency but blends easily into skin as it is really soft in texture.

Usage

You have to take small amount of cream in hand, then apply it on your face in evening or night for just 2 hours wherever there is problem, I mean acne. I usually apply it on my cheeks and forehead because I get acne there. After 2 hours just wash your face with water.
